But what is called a "Bouchon" ?
The origin of this word came from the clusters of pinecones (the emblem of Bacchus), formerly called "bousche", which was hung over the doors of the taverns and cabarets of Lyon.
The "Bouchons Lyonnais" are today restaurants with a friendly and joyful atmosphere, where the boss, serves an authentic and generous cuisine, made with fresh produce. You will taste the specialties of the Lyonnaise gastronomy such as “les tabliers de sapeur”, “la cervelle de canut”, or “les tripes à la lyonnaise”.
The “Brionnais” is a small region located in the south of Burgundy. It is well known for its Romanesque churches, castles and especially for its gastronomy. The Charolais meat dishes such as tartars and beef tabs or the famous eggs poached in meurette style will delight the taste buds of the most fine gourmets guests !
